New Rochester Hills Salon Delivers HIGH Quality, Style

douglas_j_signature13769Rochester Hills, MI – A new professional hair salon is coming to the Village of Rochester Hills as early as fall 2012. The 1,800 foot salon will feature 6 salon chairs and a full line of Aveda hair and skin care products.

When announcing this new addition to the tenant line-up, the Village's Vice President of Leasing, Scott Aikens, said, “Our focus is on how the Village can best serve N. Oakland County.  We think Douglas J Aveda Salon will add something substantial to the mix.”

The new Douglas J Salon's guests will choose from haircut and coloring services and also take advantage of additional beauty offerings including facial waxing, makeup application, men’s services and children’s haircuts. Each service includes an Aveda sensory journey, stress relieving head, neck and shoulder massage, hand and arm massage and complimentary make-up finishing touch.

The expansion into Rochester Hills starts a new chapter for our company", said Douglas J President, Scott Weaver. "This salon is part of the next phase of growth for Douglas J. We'll maintain the same level of service our patrons have come to expect, but, with our salon at the Village, we'll also create a more intimate setting."

hot mamaSeven years ago, Megan Tamte was so convinced that moms wanted designer clothing with unparalleled service that she and her husband, Michael Tamte, opened their first Hot Mama store in Edina, Minnesota. Today, Hot Mama has 22 stores in eight states. Each year Hot Mama receives hundreds of customer requests to add a Hot Mama store in cities across the United States—which affirms the founding couple’s belief that the U.S. is filled with hot mamas.

Hot Mama signed a lease this week to open a store this spring at the Village of Rochester Hills in Oakland County, MI. Megan and Michael were attracted to The Village’s surrounding demographics and its ability to draw Hot Mama’s core customer of fashion forward moms. This will be Hot Mama’s second Michigan store. The retailer already has a footprint in Michigan with its store in East Grand Rapids.

Hot Mama is a rising star in retail, recently profiled by Fast Company and Retailing Today.  With their focus on fashion-forward women’s clothing, Hot Mama adds to the Village’s already impressive roster of fashion retailers.  According to CEO Megan Tamte, Hot Mama specializes in quick and easy to wear clothes that can take a mom to a board meeting, a child’s baseball game, or a date night with her partner.  The goal is to help take care of a woman physically, mentally and spiritually so she can be the best mom she can be.  The Village location will be the first boutique in metro Detroit, adding one more store to Hot Mama’s quickly growing portfolio of 22 stores in 8 states.
