Whether you're looking ot completely overhaul your look this fall or just looking to add some essentials to your wardrobe, the shops at the Village of Rochester Hills have exactly what you're looking for.
Fall 2012 is all about colored denim, layers, scarves, statement jewelry and rich jewel tones. Wing tip shoes with or without tassels are also a big trend. Making a statement with clothing that complements your personal taste and style, with the right fit, is what makes fall fashion so much fun.
Village retailers Chico’s, Ann Taylor, Francesca’s Collections and Gap have put together some season must-have looks for you to check out.
Fall Trends Come to Life on the Runway

The Village of Rochester Hills La Femme Fall Fashion Show is just a few days away. I can’t wait to see this season’s fall trends come to life on the runway. At least, 12 retailers from the Village have been working hard pulling looks for the show and creating ensembles with their latest fall arrivals. If you plan on attending the show, well, you’re in for a real treat. This year’s fall trends are fun, sophisticated, classy, and hot all at once and I’m going to be there on the runway with the models, showing you how each look will work for you.
Some of the trends you’ll be seeing will be age appropriate for many ages if you can believe it or not. Also colors you wouldn’t think you would wear, will be featured too. We all know and love the usual fall colors such as pomegranate , navy, emerald green, grey and mustard yellow. But have you ever worn neon pink or neon yellow? Yes back in the 80’s you say? Well, you’ll be wearing it this fall and when you do you won’t feel like a young Flash Dance fan, you’ll feel beautiful and hip with a classier more sophisticated vibe. I know it’s hard to believe but watch for these vibrant colors on the runway and you’ll see what our retailers have done to create sophisticated neon in age appropriate styles.
Another hot trend is tweed. Tweed has, is and always will be a fan favorite. Tweed keeps us warm, it keeps us stylish and it can stay in our closet for years without going out of style. This year tweed in either black & white or rich jewel tones will be key and you just may see a tweed jacket two in the show.
Back to school styles will also be a big hit. Being a mom myself I know the importance of back to school styles and keeping our little ones on trend. Several local little ones have been chosen for the show and they’re going to rock the runway the way school kids do and I have a feeling our hearts are going to melt over their cuteness.
So you see the La Femme Fall Fashion Show is going to be filled with great fun for all ages. Who doesn’t love fashion and cuteness? I know I do! I’ve only touched on a few looks that will be featured, you’ll have to attend the show to see what else is hot this fall from our retailers at The Village of Rochester Hills.
