Join us on November 16th for our 11th annual “Light the Village” event. Once again the Village will come to life with over 850,000 lights that will illuminate all at once! In addition to lighting our 25 foot tree, we will welcome Santa to the Village for another year of free visits in Santa’s Snug sponsored by Cornerstone Community Financial and Crittenton Hospital.
The festivities begin at 5:30pm with the “Crittenton Stage” coming to life with entertainment and chances to win! The community is being asked to bring a new toy to donate to the Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division as we host our first toy drive through the Village. With each toy that is donated, a raffle ticket will be added to the chance to win one of four grand prizes.

Light the Sky - October 14

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the Village wanted to be sure we were a part of the "awareness" with a unique event that the whole community could take part in. On October 14th from 3-5pm you can come to Festival Park (between Bravo! and English Gardens) to decorate a floating lantern to be released into the sky. Each lantern can be decorated by individuals that want to honor, remember or just simply show their support for Breast Cancer.

The Pink Fund will be accepting donations ($1 donation is suggested for each lantern) for their organization and Crittenton provide information about their state of the art Breast Care Center, right here in our own backyard. And to make the afternoon even more memorable, Rachel Williams will kick off the event at 3pm and Jennifer Kincer will show up to do a couple of inspirational songs as well! In addition, Eddie Bauer will be raffling off a pink down coat (must be present to win)! So you can decorate a lantern or two, sit and listen to music and watch the sky light up! Our goal is to release 500 lanterns! Will you be a part of this great afternoon? Come and join us October 14th from 3-5pm.

Fire Safety Town - October 7

Bring the whole family...neighbors...friends and even the dog, if you want, to Fire Safety Day at the Village. There will be a fire truck and the safety house right next to Festival Park (where the gazebo is) for everyone to touch and feel. "Real" fire fighters will be available to answer questions and help your family be prepared in case of an emergency. The safety house provides opportunities for the families to practice and know what it may be like if there is a real fire in your home. This is all offered in a fun, non threatening manner so that children can feel safe in their own homes. Rochester Hills Fire Department will be bringing some fun trinkets for the kids and the professionals are also available for the parents that may have specific questions. Plan your day around a visit to Fire Safety Day at the Village anytime between 12-3pm on Sunday, October 7th.
